The Massage Therapy Difference
Therapeutic Massage:
Many people consider a therapeutic massage to be "deep tissue"; this is not necessarily the case. Therapeutic massage is based on the need to fix a problem area it's not a "feel good" session it's a fix it session. These sessions typically for me consist of using a wide range of modalities from deep tissue, trigger point therapy, stretching, cupping etc.
I recommend therapeutic sessions to people who I've see regularly, or for people who have a chronic muscle issue.
Relaxation Massage:
When people think of getting a massage, typically they think of a "feel good get me relaxed session". This is what is qualified as a relaxation session. These type of massages are good for anyone that is just looking to get some muscles worked out, or to just take a break from daily life. Not necessarily for specific work.
